Trump says he doesn’t believe Israel is spying on US

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Thursday evening told reporters outside the White House that he does not believe the Israelis are spying on him or the United States.

He said, “I don’t think the Israelis are spying on us. I really would find that hard to believe,” adding further that “anything’s possible.”

According to sources, certain US officials concluded on Thursday morning that the Israeli government is most likely responsible for certain devices discovered around Washington DC that were intended to spy on Trump and his close associates.

Meanwhile Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the charges, saying, “Israel doesn’t conduct espionage operations in the United States, period.”

FBI’s counterintelligence division while investigating the devices, revealed that they were pretty sure the Israelis were responsible.

However, in an earlier investigation by the FBI regarding Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen in 2016, it found out that similar devices were being used by US Police.
