Balochistan: Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PPM) has announced a protest rally in the Chaman area of Balochistan, and PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen has released a video statement inviting his staff to attend.
While, in Balochistan, as in other parts of Pakistan, the PTM has been completely rejected and the main reason for this is that the policy of the PTM is against Pakistan and their leaders are talking about dividing the country.
The Chaman border is an important trade border between Pakistan and Afghanistan and many Pashtuns are getting their employment from this area. Therefore, protests or rallies are not in the interest of the local people.
While the PTM’s announcement of a meeting in Chaman for its own purposes has been condemned by locals. Members of the PTM are also opposed to the meeting because it is safe there and Pashtuns are sure to earn a living.
Haji Rahmatullah, a member of the PTM, writes that there is no need for protests or rallies on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border because there are jobs and Pashtuns are happy. He writes that more than 20,000 people go to Afghanistan for the livelihood.
Another active member of the PTM, Naqibullah Elias, wrote that on the border between Chaman and Boldak, everyone is happy and prosperous.
Naqibullah Elias writes that at this time we are happy and prosperous, and we appeal to the PTM to leave our situation in place and not to close the door of employment for us.
