Peshawar: Justice Rohul Amin of Peshawar High Court has said in his remarks that who are the women marchers? Where do they come from and what is their agenda? There is a right to freedom of expression in the constitution, but that does not mean that everyone should target religion, he said.
He said that few women have taken whole country hostage in name of Women rights, from where are they funded, why not hand over this March’s inquiry to the FIA so that the full report can be exposed.
He made these remarks during the hearing of the writ petition filed against the organizers of the Women’s March.
The case was heard by Justice Rohul Amin and Justice Atiq Shah. The organizers of the Women’s March, their lawyers and the Additional Advocate General appeared. The organizers of the Women’s March argued that Additional District and Sessions Judge Peshawar Shaukatullah Shah had ordered to file a case against the organizers of the Women’s March Islamabad on the 26th of last month on charges of blasphemy, which does not fall under the jurisdiction of the local court and the said march was related to women’s rights and it has been given wrong direction.
