Students protested against Mardan board for unfair papers checking, KP govt formed committee for investigation

Mardan: Hundreds of students protested against Mardan Board for unfair papers checking and results.

The students said that those who were not expected to achieve high marks were given numbers in bulk, while toppers were given very low marks.

There are serious reservations from the government as Mardan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has been topped by a female student who secured 1,100 marks out of 1,100.

While Education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai has formed a fact-finding committee to probe the results of those students who achieved more than 1,090 marks out of 1,100 in the eight education boards of the province after the government voiced its reservation about the results.

The eight-member assessment or fact-finding committee will submit its report to the minister which will be then sent to the provincial government.
