ISLAMABAD: Pakistan exported over $1 billion of information technology (IT) services to various countries during the first eleven months of the fiscal year 2018-19, registering a 4.37 % growth over the last year.
According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics report, Pakistan exported IT services worth $966.240 mn last year.
During the period under review, the computer services grew by 12.21 %, from $654.170 mn last year to $734.020 mn in FY19.
Among the computer services, the export of software consultancy services and repair and maintenance of computer-related services increased by 26.87 % and 231.93 % respectively. Export of other computer services increased by 34.77 %.
The export of call center services increased by 7.95 %, from $93.039 mn to $100.436 mn, while the export other information services increased by 53.28 %, from $1.068 mn to $1.637 mn.
